We are The Parlour, a tranquil, exclusive manor destination on the Blagdon Estate in plush Northumberland, ten minutes drive north of Newcastle.
We are located within easy reach of Newcastle, Gosforth, Morpeth, and Ponteland. On arrival at our venue, you would be blown away by the capacity. We have a car parking space for you and your companions and disabled access for people with special needs.
What to expect from us for your private and corporate events?
First off, you gain access to our Arcadian grounds, outfitted with celestial gardens and impressive structures. We offer a selection of choice rooms that can be booked privately during the day; from 11:30 am to 4pm or evenings 7pm till 12pm. Well-behaved pets are allowed on our premises and we make a lot of similar concessions to ensure that our guests are well and comfortable.
Our staff, well-trained personnel of character and grace are here to transform the location into whatever you need. Your articulation of your requirements is our only limitation as far as we are willing to accommodate your event – this tells you that we are open for ALL private and corporate events.
What Private events can we host? You name it. Birthdays, baby showers, weddings, themed parties, anniversaries, and VIP events, are just a few events we specialise in. You would be provided with an in-house Master of Ceremony, access to our dining area, a DJ if you need one, and a buffet or a formal meal, depending on your choice.
Are you looking for a perfect spot to treat your co-worker or subordinates at the end of the financial year? Do you have a presentation you would like to show within a serene environment? The Parlour is the place for you because we have rooms that would suit your needs.
Available for private hire at 11:30 am - 2 pm or 2:30 pm - 5 pm. It has a capacity of about 24 guests maximum, with tables available. You can pre-order Afternoon Tea with sandwiches from one of our buffets.
Complimentary hire available with a minimum spend of £250. A 25% deposit is available to confirm the booking and final details with the remaining balance are to be settled 14 days prior to the set date.
This room is available for hire between 11:30 am - 4:30 pm, and for evening events from 7 pm-midnight. It comfortably accommodates 25-40 guests. It is outfitted with shabby chic furniture, a cake stand, and a knife at no extra charge. It is a complimentary hire with a minimum spend of £350. You would need to deposit 25% of the fee to confirm the booking and settle the final details and balance 14 days before accommodation.
The Willow is available for private hire between 11:30 am - 4:30 pm. It accommodates 25-90 people comfortably. It also features a fully licensed bar, shabby chic furniture, and a cake stand to hire at no available cost. It is a complementary hire with a minimum spend of £400. We provide guests with catering packages that delight their taste buds. Our catering service is run by some of the finest chefs around and you would be waited on to satisfaction. Depending on the package, there would be cakes, snacks, platters and trays, light lunches, afternoon tea, wine, coffee, etc. The baseline for our meals is traditional fayre with an Italian touch, freshly made and served accordingly. Our award-winning resident ice cream, Marcantonio's Ice Cream, is a delight with a recipe created over a hundred years old. You do not have to worry about meals when you are in our care.
